Tryout Advice for Parents

This can be a stressful time of year for not only players trying out for different teams but the parents as well.  Sometimes the parents are more effected by tryouts than the kids. 

Let's keep things in perspective, we all want the best for our kids but let's be aware of our emotions and actions and how they can be perceived by your kids.  You affect your child's psychology and the state of mind going into tryouts more than you think. 

We can use these different situations during a hockey season, especially tryouts to teach our kids great life lessons.  It is up to you to understand them and relay them to your kids.
